Tamborine Mountain Glades · Gold Coast Hinterland
A brand new sculpture walk, an on-site art gallery, original works for sale — and artists whose work deserves to be experienced slowly.
The Glades Sculpture Walk
The Tamborine Mountain Glades Sculpture Walk is a new exhibition. It is a unique collection, set within a working rainforest where the light changes through the day, the seasons shift, and every return visit reveals something you missed before. Walk among the pieces at your own pace. Come back in the evening when they are lit. Stay the weekend and let it slow you down.
All sculptures on the walk are available for purchase.
The artist behind the walk
Sculptor · 35+ years · Cedar Creek
Antone Bruinsma is one of Australia's most accomplished stone sculptors. Born in Amsterdam and raised in Queensland, he began carving at the age of ten and has spent more than 35 years creating works for public spaces, private gardens, universities and cultural institutions throughout Australia and overseas.
When Antone first walked the grounds of Tamborine Mountain Glades, he recognised a place where sculpture could exist as it was meant to — not framed by walls or plinths, but set into a living environment that changes around it. The Glades gave his work the space to breathe.
Awards & Recognition
“I work to intensify the value in every location — to identify the spirit of a place, and give material form to that special spirit.”— Antone Bruinsma, artist statement

Garden & decorative sculpture
Fredrick’s pieces are approachable, tactile and made to live alongside people — in gardens, courtyards and homes. Each work is hand-finished; no two are alike. If you’re buying sculpture for the first time, or looking for something that fits naturally into an outdoor space, Fredrick’s work is a wonderful place to start.
On-site
The gallery brings both artists’ smaller and gallery-ready works indoors — the best place to get close to the detail of each piece, ask questions and understand the full range of what each artist creates. All works are available to purchase.
Whether you’ve walked through the sculpture trail and want to revisit a piece, or you’re arriving specifically to browse, the gallery is open during your visit. Our team can help you understand the work, discuss pricing, and arrange delivery or collection.

Stay at the Glades
The sculpture walk is just the beginning. The mountain has over 70 local artists with open studios and outdoor exhibitions. Staying at the Glades means you wake up already there.
Dining
The natural end to a day. Long lunches, slow dinners and flavours that bring the Gold Coast hinterland to the table.
Come for the sculpture walk, stay for lunch. Come back in the evening when the walk is lit and the restaurant feels like the right place to make sense of the day. No rushing required.
*Open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday.
